Woman - A force to reconed with

On matters of Finance, most people automatically assume that when they get older, their sons will help them sort out their finances and that they will be taken care of by the boys in the family.  That is now becoming an old wives tale.  

Did you know that Women are the driving force in today’s economy in the developed world?  According to the Economist, surveys show that people still prefer to have boys than girls and one of the major reasons is that boys historically were expected to become better economic providers for their parents! 

Evidence now also shows that girls do better at school than boys and more girls attend university than boys and lets face girls, brains are more valued than brawn in today’s modern times.  This means that girls should score better jobs than boys in the future making them the better providers.

Another survey suggested that woman make more sound investment decisions than men. I’m not too sure about our control over our Credit Cards though.  Perhaps we have become adept at finding the Credit Card providers who offer us the Cheapest Rates so that we can spend more - that’s good sound investment in my estimation!

This subject sure gets my juices going.  Its an excellent topic for debate (or argument) the next time you are in a social setting with men shooting off their mouths about how women cant do without them.
