Yikes! Its a topic that could keep people talking, debating, arguing, smiling, crying or laughing for hours and hours. Online Dating can be very successful if you do it right. Choosing the right Dating Agency or getting good Online Advice is crucial.

I am glad I don’t have to worry about dating in today’s times for various reasons, but the main reason is that the world is becoming a scarier place. I see my young adult children going through some major stresses over finding partners. It all seemed so simple 20 years ago. You would go to a party, a friends house, your cousins barbecue, a local social event or a movie and just like that someone would catch your eye. From there you would be introduced by someone you knew or maybe the person would formally introduce themselves and before you knew it, you were an item.

That does not seem to happen quite so simply anymore. I have watched so many single people in the last few years taking major strain over asking someone out or letting someone know they like them. Being afraid of rejection or ridicule can cause underlying stress that can manifest itself in other forms of illness in us poor humans. People in general seem to be more mean to each other as well when it comes to finding a date. Girls in particular seem to make fun of their mates choice of dates and guys are under constant pressure from their mates to be loud and lad like instead of being genuine and gentlemanly.

It’s no wonder people are turning to Online Dating. A survey showed that there were something like 6 million subscribers for UK-based internet dating agencies in 2005. I wonder what the stats will be like now? Online Dating also spans the age bracket because a lonely heart has no age limit. From Elderly people to Teens, we all need someone in our lives.

PinkFridge has some basic guidelines about Online Dating. It is worth just browsing through the website to get the gist of it before you plough into something unfamiliar.

For those that have already been using Online Dating, there could be some handy information for you too or maybe something different like Speed Dating.

What do you think? Do you think Online Dating is good or a waist of time?

Chow for now, Angela
