It was an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot… thong. Not that it has to be yellow polka dot. Although they are not quite as easy to come by as they were in the thong’s heyday – even the girls on Ipanema are not all kitted out in them any more – there are still piles of the tiny garments in all sorts of different styles out there just waiting for a proud new owner. This is just about the smallest piece of material it is possible to wear – string at the back and scrunchable at the front.
