By offering high contrast, rose tinted lenses can be very soothing to the eyes, improving road visibility for instance. Many people have found also that lenses with rose tinting are the most comfortable for the longest time periods than other lenses are. Perhaps this would explain why there is a famous saying – that when you look optimistically at life you are looking at it through “rose-tinted” spectacles.
