It was the Carerra Panamericana, the legendary Mexican car race, which gave its name in 1953 to the Carerra sunglasses brand when it was born in the town of Traun in Austria. In the past fifty years, sportspeople using Carerra equipment have scored many international victories, benefiting from the passion of the company towards product development and technological research. Everything that Carerra does, right from the first draft of the product to its final design, is developed internally by the Research & Development department in Padua, Italy.
