DC shoes are a skater’s dream. Cool, comfortable, streetwise, and ideal for straightforward skating as well as the craziest stunts, these shoes are hard to beat. DC shoes look disarmingly simple, but a great deal of thought, inspiration and footwear technology has gone into their design. In order to be both comfortable and useful as skating or boarding shoes, they need to have a great grip – which is achieved through the chunky rubber sole – and excellent cushioning to support and protect the feet at the same time as offering good flexibility for natural movement. The soles of DC shoes are grooved to provide excellent traction for most sorts of outdoor adventure sports, and the well known logo shows that these shoes have come straight from top designers and producers.

Obviously a skater’s choice of footwear has as much to do with comfort and movement as it has to do with fashion. You can’t wear just any old shoes because they are comfortable: the label and the whole look count. For this reason, many DC shoes come in a wide choice of colours. From white and sky blue to brown, beige and pink – via bottle green, rose and white, charcoal and magenta, and white and brick red – it would be pretty difficult not to find a sneaker that matches your boarding or biking equipment.

DC has a massive range of men’s shoes and a very impressive selection of women’s shoes. The styles are fairly similar, although the women’s shoes tend to have a softer, more rounded finish, with lighter colours and a more elegant shape. For kids, DC manufactures miniature versions of its most popular lines, but specially made with the needs of growing children in mind. Other ranges include sandals and flip flops, which span both beach wear and smarter summer-evening party footwear.
