If you're looking for lingerie that's hot in both senses, try latex. Showgirls, on London's Holloway road, is one of a number of stores which stock rubber and latex lingerie. Best kept for special occasions, due not least to the sweat factor, it's nonetheless intended as fashion not fetish wear. However, a pair of latex French knickers can't help but have a certain edge about it.

The high-end lingerie/erotica shops such as Agent Provocateur and Myla have that same edge (as well as whips, nipple tassles, etc.). If that's a little too hot for you, there's always the cheekier ranges of the high fashion houses. For example, Fifi Chachnil's leopard/polka prints and references to can-can or fifties pin-ups give off a classy sort of heat. While La Perla's combination of sophistication and sexiness has something of a euro-Lady Chatterley about it. But you don't have to burn all your cash for hot lingerie.

The high thong has long been the obvious choice, but its fashion prospects are dubious, so it may not be worth spending a huge amount of money on one.

Try splashing out on loungewear instead. Loungewear is The Next Big Thing - these satin robes and negligees enable one to float about the house like a Bond babe.
