They usually consist of a hollow chocolate egg with the chocolate bar or sweets inside the egg. Some Easter eggs have a little toy inside but make sure that small children do not get hold of these and choke on them. The Easter bunny is a manifestation of the pagan goddess whose festival Easter was originally. Eggs are a symbol of rebirth which is why they are associated with Easter. Easter egg hunts are traditional at this holiday when small, brightly-wrapped, chocolate eggs are hidden and children search for them. Other good Easter gifts would be soft toys such as fluffy bunnies or chicks. Personalized egg cups would be another Easter gift idea. You could buy plain wooden ones and paint something on them for each person in your family.

Another Easter tradition is to boil some eggs and then paint faces and hair on them to create egg people. It is quite fun to do one for each person in your family. Therefore children may like to be given water-based paints and paint brushes at Easter so they can paint some eggs.
