DKNY Perfume is a popular and exciting fragrance, and was launched by Donna Karan in 2000. This is the third scent to be created by the designer and follows the success of her previous fragrances. After teaming up with some of the best beauty professionals at Estée Lauder, Donna Karan succeeded in producing a modern and cutting edge perfume. DKNY Perfume is said to be energetic and lively, packed with a hip New York attitude.

Although this is classed as a floral fragrance, the main notes that are detectable are vodka, orange, tomato leaf, white birch and daffodils. Although Donna Karan was daring and even courageous with the ingredients chosen for this fragrance, DKNY Perfume is a smooth, subtle, and long lasting scent.

Before the arrival of DKNY Perfume, Karan had previously launched three other successful perfumes. In 1992 her first fragrance, Donna Karan for Women, was introduced onto the market. This signature scent is predominantly a floral fragrance comprising of rose, cassia, jasmine, heliotrope, Casablanca and apricot. Notes of suede, patchouli, amber and sandal wood add an air of smooth sophistication to this scent. In 1994, DKNY launched the fresh and floral scent, Cashmere Mist. The ingredients in this perfume were carefully chosen to capture the feeling of the soft, warm qualities of cashmere. A sensual blend of bergamot and lily of the valley is merged with sweet tones of vanilla, sandal wood and amber, to form a luxurious and sumptuous fragrance.

Chaos by Donna Karan was created in 1996. Contrary to its name, Chaos Perfume was designed to give a calming and soothing effect, with its earthy and oriental aroma helping wearers to cope with the pandemonium of everyday life. This fragrance enjoys a subtle and earthy blend of agar wood, saffron, cinnamon, chamomile, coriander and clove.

Black Cashmere was produced in 2002. Like Cashmere Mist, this perfume is also a soft, aromatic fragrance., and possesses an intimate blend of clove, white pepper, vanilla, rose amber, patchouli and intense.
