Neither the exam nor the certificate are required to operate a medical billing service in the United States but it is certainly good for business as it will instil confidence in your abilities.

Once you have had the software and have had the training you will need to contact medical professionals' offices directly to make them aware of your services. Direct mail is usually the best way to do this.
