Jeans, the staple of so many wardrobes, are invaluable during pregnancy but good maternity jeans are surprisingly difficult to find. And although they come in all sorts of styles, sizes and cuts, finding the perfect pair of maternity jeans can be a bit of challenge – particularly if you're looking for petite, tall, plus size or designer cuts.

In general, the best looking and most comfortable maternity jeans are low cut, under-the-bump styles. Often they come with an elastic waistband or may have cotton side panels around the waist. Under-the-bump styles define your waistline without making you look like a beached whale and usually sit better and hold their shape better than over-the-bump designs with wide elastic waistbands.
