A host of online Jewish dating services has emerged ranging from from ultra orthodox sites to some condemned by Jewish rabbis and community leaders for their lack of values.

If you're looking for a kosher Shidduch (match) that can cook kneidlach just like your momma then frumster.com is probably a good place to start. Frumster offers free matchmaking for Torah observant and traditional Jewish singles worldwide. Members range from liberal Orthodox Jews to real frummies. Members are predominantly from the US but are also based in Israel, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa. Premium membership, which costs around a fiver, allows you to communicate anonymously via Frumster and gives you access to dating advice and support.

Another popular Jewish dating service is JDate.com which has about half a million members. You can post up to four photos for free, search the profiles and reply to instant messages. However, to use site-based email, or read and reply to messages it'll cost you about $35 (£20) a month. For young modern Jews looking for something a little less conventional, the UK site TotallyJewish.com is a surprisingly upfront site and offers all the usual online dating features as well as 'Kosher Sutra' sex tips, a 'sexpert' to answer dating dilemmas and three chat rooms - the bar, the beach and the Jacuzzi.
