Wrinkle free skin. Is it actually possible? Even small children have tiny lines around their mouths and eyes, so what hope is there for adults?
Well, whilst wrinkle free skin may be asking a bit much unless you are prepared to spend a serious amount of money on surgery, there are a few lifestyle changes you can make to hinder the production of lines and wrinkles. And as with most things in life, the earlier you start to implement these things into your daily life, the better.
We all know that eating healthily, avoiding tanning beds and excessive exposure to the sun, as well as drinking lots of water and wearing sunscreen will all help to combat those dreaded signs of ageing. But what many people don't realise is that smoking is a major cause of skin damage.
For many men and women, the idea of giving up smoking is a scary one. Many argue that they will put on weight because cigarettes will be substituted with food, and therefore daren't take the plunge. It is ironic then, for such image-conscious individuals, that smoking a cigarette significantly increases wrinkling of the skin, not to mention the other well-documented health risks that smoking carries with it. Surely a temporary gain in weight is better than a lifetime of premature wrinkles?
