Time is, unfortunately, something we just have no control over. As we grow older, so too do our bodies, and the number of wrinkles on our face and body. That is quite simply a fact of life. But the rate at which this aging process occurs, both visibly and physiologically, is something that we have the ability to control.
Having good genes is the foundation from which good skin builds. If you are naturally blessed with it, you may find that you can get away with a certain amount of sun damage and poor living without developing any wrinkles for a while. But take heed - your genes will not sustain your wrinkle-free skin forever and at some point, your unhealthy lifestyle is going to catch up with you.
Whilst we are all made up of different genes and some skins are naturally more prone to wrinkles than others, the way in which our faces age is mostly down to lifestyle and environment. For example, take a pair of 65 year old identical twin sisters: one a non-smoker living in the UK; the other a 20-cigarettes a day smoker residing in sunny Mexico. Despite having the same genetic make-up they would no doubt develop very different skin from one another. The latter, unfortunately for her, could look as much as twenty years older than her sibling simply because of her unhealthy lifestyle and over-exposure to the sun.
