What is the most fashionable weight lifting T-shirt?

Most bodybuilders and weight lifters like to wear clothing that identifies them as members of the sport. The clothing, including T-shirts, are made specifically to fit the proportions of weight lifters, and aim to show off all the hard work you have put in by enhancing and revealing large muscles. However, there are lots of different types of weight lifting T-shirts to choose from, so we have scoured the Internet and shops to find the ones we think are the most fashionable.

Weight lifting t-shirts for the fashion conscious

First up, the slogan T-shirt. Other sports such as basketball or football have a long tradition of slogan shirts, but this is a relatively new phenomenon for weight lifters. This kind of T-shirt will allow you to show your sense of humour, depending on which slogan you feel you can relate to, or makes you laugh. Tank tops have always been part of the weight lifters’ staple clothing, but most popular now is the racer-back tank top. This has thinner straps on the shoulders, and very little material over your upper back. Their popularity stems from the fact that your chest, arms and back are on display far more than with a regular tank top. This is useful for checking your muscles in the gym as you work them, and also for displaying your hard work when out and about!

For women, there are loads of T-shirt options that are more attention grabbing than the regular shirt. Look for ribbed and scooped tops to give yourself an edge. They are usually available in different colours, and with certain sayings or brand logos across the front. For extra impact, cropped versions of this T-shirt stop just above the waist so you can show off your toned stomach!

If you enjoy taking part in competitions, you are likely to be given a T-shirt to wear whilst competing. These T-shirts can be extremely coveted, depending on the level of the competition. For example, the State Games of America is a high level of excellence, and imagine owning an Olympic T-shirt for weight lifting! Even if you do not take part in competitions, many gyms have their own merchandise that you can wear. They are likely to sell weight lifting T-shirts with the name of the gym on the front or back, and in this way you can show that you are a dedicated practitioner of bodybuilding, and show your allegiance to your gym.
