Having been on the market for the treatment of obesity since the 1950s (and the hydrochloride version since the early 1970s), phentermine is an appetite suppressant, which works by telling your brain that you are not hungry and creating a feeling of fullness. The best results are achieved when the use of this medication is combined with a healthy diet and exercise. Dosage: Taken orally, this product can be used in a couple of different ways, depending on each person. A 30mg capsule should decrease the appetite for anywhere between 12 to 14 hours. It can either be taken: 1 capsule half an hour before breakfast on an empty stomach, or alternatively 2 hours after breakfast. It should not be taken late in the day as the drug may cause insomnia.
