Phase 2 diet pills are over the counter diet pills that are made from extracts from the white kidney bean, which works as a starch/carbohydrate blocker. Manufacturers say that the product blocks fat, blocks carbohydrates, increases your metabolism, increases your energy and controls your appetite. It is said to neutralize the starch consumed from food such as rice, potatoes, bread and corn.
Normally when you eat, your body converts carbohydrates into sugar, and then breaks those carbohydrates down with an enzyme that is made in the pancreas. These sugars are then usually burned off through exercising, or your body stores them as fat for use later. But the bad side of that is, if you don’t use up that sugar that has been stored as fat and burn it off, then you put on weight.
Phase 2 is said to neutralize the enzyme that converts starch to sugar, and allow the carbohydrates to pass through the system. A balance of a healthy diet and regular exercise is recommended to be teamed with the use of this supplement in order to receive its full benefits.
