First thing's first. We need you to understand that there simply is no magic cure for cellulite. We know, it's hard to take, but all is not lost. There are a number of temporary cellulite treatments on the market, and whilst we don't think any are permanent and certainly do not constitute a cure, a few of them do help reduce the appearance of those lumps and bumps as a short term solution.
Finding a solution to cellulite is difficult, mainly because no one is really sure what actually causes it in the first place. Most people in the medical profession will agree that the most effective and inexpensive way to prevent the formation of cellulite and to reduce its appearance is to adopt a healthy lifestyle. For some, this may not seem like an easy option as it involves monitoring what you eat and drink as well as undertaking exercise on a regular basis.
Of the thousands of cellulite potions, lotions, creams, products and pills available, very few have actually been scientifically proven to do any good. But those that do are certainly useful if you and your bikini want to strut your stuff on the beach for two weeks and are looking for a quick and easy fix to see you both through.
While surgery may provide an expensive but effective method for other fat related problems, it doesn’t produce the same results for targeting cellulite. Beauty therapists and salons offer a variety of different cellulite treatments such as body wraps, mesotherapy, electric muscle stimulation and massage. However, like the creams and lotions available there has been very little research conducted to measure the effectiveness in reducing cellulite with these techniques.
Our advice? Eat healthily, exercise regularly, drink lots of water and loofah your skin every day if you can. If you want to try the creams and treatments in addition to this, go ahead, they might even work for you...just don't blame us if they don't!
