Jose Arigo

Jose Arigo (1918-1971), a Brazilian, performed psychic surgery with amazing results. It is reported that he could remove tumours and other surgical operations without the patient feeling the pain of the incision or the wound getting infected. He was arrested for practising medicine illegally but continued to treat people while incarcerated.

Madame Blavatsky

Madame Blavatsky (1831-1891) was a famous medium of Russian descent, but she was exposed as using trickery to perform some of her feats. She was one of the founders of the Theosophical Society, the aim of which being to reconcile all religions and sects using common eternal truths. She travelled widely and claimed to have studied under adepts in India and Tibet. She is acknowledged as having influenced modern Occultism.

John Edward

John Edward is a famous American TV psychic who has his own show called 'Crossing over with John Edward'. Fans are impressed by his accurate, detailed messages. He has written several books including an autobiography.

Uri Geller

Israeli-born psychic, Uri Geller, is well-known for his psychokinetic powers and has been performing for many years. He would bend spoons and other metal objects with a few light strokes or taps on television. Audiences often reported that during his shows, household items would break. He assisted J B Rhine with some of his experiments in psychokinesis.

Russell Grant

Russell Grant is a popular TV psychic in the UK who used to present his own programmes for years and now appears as a guest on chat shows or game shows. He is best known as an astrologer. He writes horoscopes for magazines and websites.

Joan of Arc

Joan was born in 1412 in Orleans and heard voices (clairaudience) from a young age. When she was a teenager, these voices prompted her to lead the French army against the English at Orleans. Joan was burnt at the stake as a heretic at the age of 19 due to her ability to hear voices.
