Different people work in different ways, for more information see psychic readings. Numerologists add up the numbers of your birth date and/or name to give you information about yourself. If you have your exact time of birth, you may be able to find an astrologer to draw up a birth chart for you, giving the location of the planets in relation each other at the time of your birth.
A lot can be inferred from this about someone's personal traits, compatibility with a loved one, and likely future path. Some psychics read tea leaves, or look into a crystal ball, to make out images which they interpret.
If you book a reading with a psychic, ask if there is somewhere private you can go. Having a reading in a public place means there are many distractions. It may be better to talk to the psychic, get an idea of what they are about and how they work and then book a reading with them in their usual place of work.
You may be able to attend workshops and tutorials which are useful if you are interested in developing psychic powers yourself. Talking to the stall-holders at the fair may be interesting to find out how they became aware of, or developed, their psychic powers.
Crystal healers may be selling crystals and other accessories may be available for purchase at a psychic fair. Essential oils, herbs, incense and gems are used for healing and psychic work and psychic fairs can be a good place to buy these and get advice on how to use them effectively.
Psychic fairs may also have people who practise alternative therapies, such as reiki, shiatsu massage or reflexology.
Be warned though, the fair organisers do not necessarily guarantee the authenticity of the vendors at the fair - it is up to you to decide whether a psychic is genuine or not. If you are new to the psychic world, wander round and check out a few different stalls and see what is on offer. Find someone you feel comfortable with to have a reading from and keep an open mind. You do not have to follow a psychic's advice.
